New Enrolment System
a. The
special enrolment day for
Term 4, 2010 was Monday 16th
August 2010 Helpers
were there to assist members
and answer queries on this
date,16th August.
After that, an enrolment
booklet is left out for
further enrolments each day
until Friday 27 August,
2010
b. You
PRINT your name on the
Enrolment Sheet allotted to
the class you wish to take.
Once ten people have taken
the ten positions for any
class, that class is full.
After this, applicants may
place their names in the
Waiting List section (in
case one of the first ten
applicants pulls out before
the start of the new term).
c. Please
read the Course Description
flyer and check that you
have the prerequisites
before applying for a class.
d. Classes
will be filled in the order
requests are received,
however priority may still
be given where a member has
genuinely applied before,
but been unsuccessful in
gaining a place in class.
e. If
there are overflows
sufficient to create a
second class for a course,
we may do so if a day and
trainer is available.
Here there will be a decided
benefit if members endeavour
to enrol early, as a need
would be quickly noted.
f. Classes
with less than 5 enrolments
may be cancelled.
g.
Most classes
will cost $15 a term of
(usually) 9 weeks. Some
classes using an excessive
amount of consumables will
be $20 a term of (usually) 9
weeks. The cost of the class
you choose is displayed on
the top right hand corner.
h.
If your circumstances change
so that you are unable to go
ahead with your chosen
class, please notify us by
sending an email to
enrolcpe@gmail.com
Please use this email
address for any late
enrolments. Enrolment via
email will not be accepted
until after the close of the
enrolment period. (See above
for closing date).
The Committee
is keen to streamline the
enrolments for the benefit
of the members, and also to
more readily clarify the
situation for the Class
Allocation Sub-Committee.

To Open
Microsoft Office 2007,
even if you Have Earlier Versions of Microsoft Office.
A
problem, that will increase as more and more computer users
update to Microsoft Office 2007, is that those to whom they
email documents will not be able to download them. The 2007
programs are not compatible with Office 2000, XP and 2003.
If someone sends an attachment in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
2007 the recipient is unlikely to be able to read it. If you
do not intend to update to Office 2007, download the
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack by clicking this link:
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint 2007 File Formats.
By installing the
Compatibility Pack in addition to Microsoft Office 2000,
Office XP, or Office 2003, you will be able to open, edit,
and save files using the file formats new to Word, Excel and
PowerPoint 2007. It is a large download of 27.5 MB. It will
take a fair amount of time to download if you are still
connected to dialup internet. With broadband, however, you
can begin using this convenient compatibility pack in a
couple of minutes. Its great!
In Office 2007 programs,
you can save documents as earlier versions of Office, so
they can be sent as attachments to those with earlier
versions. It would be handy, nevertheless, to keep a note
of this link in case a recipient of your attachment could
not open it. You can email back this link to your unhappy
emailer.
